If you’re trying to lose weight and have dropped a few pounds, how do you know if you’ve really lost fat or muscle or both?
Successful clients understand the importance of regular, body composition testing to differentiate between overall weight loss and real fat loss. At TPS, we use a variety of techniques, including scale weight, tape measurements and body fat tests to calculate your body composition. Body fat can be measured either with calipers, using multi-point, skin fold measurements or with our handheld bio-electrical impedance (BIE) meter.
Each test provides valuable information about your body fat levels which in turn, allows you to make small changes to your diet/exercise programs for faster results!
If you want to be successful, get your body composition tested every 4-6 weeks. After all, knowing where you’re starting from will always help you get to where you’re going.
