Personal Training is the fastest, smartest, and most efficient way to go about reaching your fitness goals. If it was as simple as coming to the gym and going on a diet, we’d all look like we did when we were teenagers. Unfortunately, it’s not easy.
At TPS we will create a workout program that is geared towards helping you reach your goals. Whether it is dropping body fat, building muscle, or just improving the quality of your everyday life, we will tailor your program to give YOU the results that you want.
Our coaches will teach you proper exercise selection and technique, and they will ensure that you perform each and every repetition with perfect form. This is to make sure that you don’t get hurt and will be able to reap the rewards of an effective exercise regimen.
Too many times people walk into a gym and have no clue what they should do. Consequently, they stumble around the gym trying to figure out what each machine does. This inevitably leads to frustration and them quitting before they even had a chance to get going. Never again!
At TPS our trainers will make sure that when you walk into the weight room, you’ll never be confused with equipment or what to do again.
Gone are the countless hours spent walking on a treadmill like a hamster. TPS uses a variety of cardio-conditioning tools including the Prowler, dragging sleds, sandbags, kettle bells, and your own body weight to make body fat melt off of you.
Our programs are designed to:
1. Build strength for everyday life
2. Build muscle
3. Burn fat
4. Change your physique
5. Improve your overall body conditioning
6. Help you to achieve YOUR goals .
We have a weight room full of equipment that is specifically designed and selected to facilitate your journey to a new you. You might not see some of the equipment that you are familiar with. This is because TPS was set up for success!
The average gym is not designed to get results. They are PROFIT driven only. TPS is results driven. We are here to make sure that you get the results that you came in for. Our equipment reflects that. Don't worry if it's unfamiliar at first, you'll be like an old pro quickly.
We also offer a variety of nutritional programs that will be tailored to your specific needs (just like your workout program). If your goal is to drop fat, build muscle, or even get ready for a bodybuilding show, we will be able to get you on the right track to a healthier, happier you.

Personal Training FAQs
I'm new to strength training, and a little nervous. What can I expect?
Once you are ready to take the next step towards your goals, we will be here every step of the way to ensure that you get there.
You will meet with one of our professionals for a consultation where we will sit with you and find out what it is that you want to do. You might want to get in shape for summer softball, or fit into a certain dress for a wedding, or anything in between. We will gather some information from you, such as a medical history, weight, body composition, and past exercise history. We will then record all of this data and use it to help track your progress as you go. This is a very important step that many places overlook.
If everything is good, we will then bring you into the gym and teach you the basics of what you will be doing, stressing the fundamentals. This is also a very important step that many organizations overlook. A lot of "trainers" in this industry want to get you in the gym and make you really sore the next day to show you how great they are. We want to do the opposite. We want to teach you the fundamentals to give you a solid foundation for the future in order to ensure that your experience here will be safe and effective. Even if you are very experienced, you will learn much more than you thought in the beginning stages of training. After your first session, which will consist of warm-up, strength training, abdominal work and flexibility and cool down, our staff will design a program that will be just for you.
As you progress further into your quest, we will constantly evaluate and analyze your goals and progress and update your training protocols to keep you motivated and making progress.
I've never lifted weights before, what’s the best way to start?
If you’ve never lifted weights before, it can be very confusing and overwhelming. The weight room looks puzzling, you don’t know what to do or even how to do it. Don't worry, our personal trainers can help you with all of that. We will not only structure each of your workouts, but we will also teach you how to do things properly, why you are doing them and why other exercises are not recommended. We’re here to help educate and guide you through an area that you might not be an expert in. We are the experts in this field and we will help you every step of the way.
I heard that you are full of big intimidating people that lift ridiculous amounts of weight. Is TPS right for me because I don't want to get huge and scary?
While TPS is known for the strength sports such as power lifting and strongman, you will find that the majority of our clientele are people just like you. People who are looking to get in shape and lead a healthy, injury free, fit lifestyle.
You will also find that the big scary people are really nice here. They are really not that scary, some of them are big though.
The difference here is that the people who train at TPS are very serious and commited to their training. From the 55 year old woman who is doing personal training sessions to stay fit and youthful to the 25 year old guy who is hoping to win his next strongman contest, to the athletes training for high school/college and pro sports, they all have one thing in common-the desire to be the best they can be in the gym and out.
How long is a training session?
Personal training sessions run about one hour. The time will vary though depending on what you are doing in your current block of training. For example, if you are doing high intensity circuit training, an hour might be too long, and not appropriate. On the other hand, if you are in a heavy training cycle where the weights are heavier, and the rest periods are longer, there is a chance your session will be more than an hour. That is up to your trainer to decide what is appropriate for you and your current fitness level and goals.
Usually, about an hour is more than enough time to do what is needed. Exercising for more than an hour can be counterproductive for many people, unless they are training for an endurance event, such as a triathlon, or a marathon. More is not always better. Training economy is best. We feel that you should get in the gym, work hard and get out of the gym.
I know it's expensive, is it right for me?
Personal training should be viewed as an investment in your success and knowledge. Hiring one of our trainers will arm you with a vast amount of knowledge that you can use long after your training is done. Group training in the Total Performance Method, 531 Group or Awesome Camp are the most affordable options at the lowest cost.
Our coaches have spent a lifetime amassing the tools they use to give you results. Hiring one of them gives you access to those tools, they will TEACH you what you are doing, and why you are doing as well as how to do it safely and effectively. This puts you on the road to success.
