TPS offers the Greater Boston area's best Youth Boxing program. We are conveniently located in Everett, Mass., and we are minutes form Charlestown, Malden, Medford, East Boston, Winthrop and other surrounding towns.
Youth Boxing is fun for the kids, it builds confidence, and burns a lot of calories (energy).
Youth Boxing is one of the statistically safest sports that your child can engage in. Participating in a Boxing program help children develop attributes that make them better, more well rounded athletes. It's like cross training for kids who play other sports.
In Youth Sports today, we are seeing a few unique problems as kids reach middle school age.

First and foremost is injuries.
Many of the sports related injuries we see now are from overuse. This is something the pro's would see in years past, but not kids. Kids today tend to play one sport and specialize in it. They play in two or three leagues, have a coach for their position and so on. This specialization leads to injury because the body never gets any time off. The best way to make a kid a better football player ( or whatever sport your child plays) is to have them play another sport in the off season. This builds a well rounded athlete with a good foundation for years to come. Remember when you were a kid, the best athlete in school was the one who played Football, Baseball and ran Track?
They didn't specialize in one sport!

This leads to point 2: We now see kids getting bored of playing their sport because they do it so much or they get burned out at a young age. Kids need variety. They need fun, they don't need a ton of pressure to excel. They need positive reinforcement and motivation, and fun. Boxing is fun!
Boxing is an excellent choice for kids who compete in other sports, such as football, hockey, basketball, soccer or baseball to make them better athletes. It is also a great option for kids who are more self motivated, yet don't like team sports. It builds confidence, agility, speed, strength, reflexes, speed and more. It also builds respect and accountability. Our program is based on USA Boxing's proven plan. Classes include warmup, bag work, mitt work, jumping rope, shadowboxing and more.
Classes are offered on Monday and Wednesday at 4:30 pm.
